Public Projects

The work shall include pavement rehabilitation on the San Marino Alley. Improvements include but are not limited to mobilization and demobilization, public notification, traffic control, clearing, grubbing, environmental protection, potholing, adjusting and replacing utility boxes and covers, removing concrete, asphalt concrete, and subgrade materials, subgrade preparation and compaction, grading, placing concrete flatwork and associated improvements (e.g., curb and gutter, sidewalk and ADA/PROWAG compliant curb ramps), and incidentals in accordance with the intent of the Project Plans and Specifications.

The work shall include but not be limited to mobilization and demobilization, public notification, traffic control, stage construction, clearing, grubbing, environmental protection, potholing, adjusting and replacing utility boxes and covers, concrete improvements (e.g., curb and gutter, sidewalk and ADA/PROWAG compliant curb ramps), removing asphalt concrete (AC) surfacing, base, and subgrade materials, subgrade preparation and compaction, grading, placing full-depth hot-mix asphalt (HMA) paving, conventional road reconstruction with aggregate base and HMA, traffic striping, markings, and markers, curb painting, and incidentals for various streets in accordance with the intent of the Project Plans and Specifications.

The work shall include mobilization, public notification, traffic control; base repairs; concrete improvements, valley gutter installation; surface reconstruct requiring milling of asphalt concrete pavement and underlying subgrade materials; pavement, regrading to adjust cross slopes for ADA compliance; HMA paving and overlay; adjusting utility covers to grade, and installing traffic striping, marking and markers in accordance with the intent of the Project Plans and Specifications.

The work shall include permanent repair of the Mace I-80 Overpass fence in accordance with the intent of the Project Plans and Specifications and the requirements of a Caltrans-issued encroachment permit. Contractor shall be responsible for complying with all encroachment permit requirements.

The work shall include recoating the floors and walls of Sedimentation Basin No. 3, Distribution Channel and Grit Basin, replace loss of mortar in areas with large, exposed aggregate, remove and replace sealants in the expansion joints in the floor and walls of Sedimentation Basin No. 3, etc.

The work shall include removal and re-plastering of Arroyo Recreation Pool, overflow grate removal and replacement, tile replacement, concrete crack repairs, handrail anchor replacements, main drain cover replacement, and removal and replacement of the water feature and all incidentals, in accordance with the intent of the Project Plans and Specifications.

Services may include general consulting; civil engineering; land surveying; Capital Improvement Program project design, construction support and management; computer or manual drafting; Graphical User Interface (GIS) implementation; private development application reviews, staff augmentation, construction inspection, architectural design services, assistance with feasibility studies, utility modeling, project management, and other tasks associated with Public Works infrastructure design, construction, and/or operation as assigned and directed by the City.
